Who is Monica?

Daughter of winemakers for generations, she studied at the University of Geisenheim to learn all types of viticulture, then returned to the Langa to carry on the family business. He will accompany you showing you all the working practices of the vineyard in the various seasons. The lesson will then be in the field and totally practical.

March 11 - Pruning + removal + tying

Starting from pruning, through this process, you will give a well-defined shape to the entire vineyard system. It is precisely the shape of the planting, also linked to the cultivated variety, the climate and the type of soil, that determines the methods and times for pruning the vine. Following with the clipping you will eliminate the branches of the previous year to make room for the new ones. Finally, by tying the new branches you will create space for the 2023 row.
